Η Πολεμική Αεροπορία της Φινλανδίας ανακοίνωσε σήμερα 25.9.2026 ότι σουηδικά και φινλανδικά μαχητικά αεροσκάφη απογειώθηκαν για την αναγνώριση και την αναχαίτιση ρωσικών στρατιωτικών αεροσκαφών στον διεθνή εναέριο χώρο πάνω από τον Κόλπο της Φινλανδίας χθες, Πέμπτη.
Τα φινλανδικά και σουηδικά μαχητικά αεροσκάφη ανήκουν στη δύναμη Quick Reaction Alert (QRA).
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, η αποστολή περιλάμβανε φινλανδικά F/A-18 Hornet και σουηδικά JAS 39 Gripen, ενώ τα ρωσικά αεροσκάφη ήταν ένα μεταγωγικό Tu-134, ένα μαχητικό MiG-31 κι ένα μαχητικό πολλαπλών ρόλων Su-30.

Όπως σημείωσαν οι Ένοπλες Δυνάμεις της Φινλανδίας, αυτή ήταν η πρώτη κοινή αποστολή επιχειρησιακής αναγνώρισης των δύο αεροπορικών δυνάμεων.
