Η Μελάνια Τραμπ ζήτησε σήμερα (5.11.2026) μια «διαρκή» κατάπαυση του πυρός στην Ουκρανία κατά τη διάρκεια συνέντευξης Τύπου στον Λευκό Οίκο, στην οποία παρευρέθηκαν Ρώσοι και Ουκρανοί αντιπρόσωποι.
Η Αμερικανίδα Πρώτη Κυρία υποδέχθηκε σήμερα στον Λευκό Οίκο αντιπροσωπείες από τις δύο εμπόλεμες χώρες, λιγότερο από μία εβδομάδα πριν από τις συνομιλίες που θα διεξαχθούν υπό αμερικανική μεσολάβηση στο Αμπού Ντάμπι για να επιχειρηθεί να βρεθεί μια διέξοδος στη σύγκρουση στην Ουκρανία.
«Επιλέξαμε την ανθρωπιά αντί για τον πόλεμο», είπε η Πρώτη Κυρία. «Πρέπει να αξιοποιήσουμε το θάρρος που δείξαμε στο Ολέσκι για να βρούμε κοινό έδαφος μέσα από την κοινή μας ανησυχία για τα δεινά των αθώων ανθρώπων. Μαζί, μπορούμε να οικοδομήσουμε κάτι πιο διαρκές από μια προσωρινή κατάπαυση του πυρός», δήλωσε η Μελάνια Τραμπ στη συνέντευξη Τύπου, που πραγματοποιήθηκε μετά την εφαρμογή της κατάπαυσης του πυρός υπό την επίβλεψη της Πρώτης Κυρίας στην ουκρανική πόλη Ολέτσκι, η οποία κατέχεται από ρωσικές δυνάμεις.

Η εκεχειρία επέτρεψε την εκκένωση της κατεχόμενης ουκρανικής πόλης, για την πραγματοποίηση της οποίας εργάσθηκε καθώς οι κάτοικοί της αντιμετώπιζαν μεγάλες ελλείψεις.
Ο Ρώσος διαπραγματευτής Κίριλ Ντμίτριεφ, παρόν στη συνάντηση, δήλωσε ότι η πρόσφατη εκεχειρία στο Ολέσκι, έδειξε τι μπορεί να επιτευχθεί όταν συνδυάζονται η συμπόνια, η αποφασιστικότητα και η συνεργασία. Ο ίδιος ανέφερε ότι ο Ρώσος πρόεδρος Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν εκτίμησε επίσης τις ειρηνοποιές προσπάθειες του Αμερικανού προέδρου.
Από την πλευρά του ο υψηλόβαθμος Ουκρανός βουλευτής Νταβίντ Αραχαμία προέτρεψε την Μελάνια Τραμπ να συνεχίσει τις προσπάθειες για την αποκλιμάκωση και τον τερματισμό του ρωσικού πολέμου κατά της Ουκρανίας.
I was deeply honoured to present the @FLOTUS, Melania Trump, with the Order of Princess Olga, First Class. I presented the award at the White House during a press conference following the humanitarian mission to Oleshky. This state award was conferred upon her by Ukrainian President @ZelenskyyUa “for her significant personal contribution to providing humanitarian aid to the citizens of Ukraine and for facilitating efforts aimed at rescuing and evacuating the civilian population from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.” It was precisely thanks to Melania Trump’s personal involvement, support, and coordination that the humanitarian mission to assist Ukrainians in Oleshky was successfully carried out. People who had been living for months in dire conditions —without water, food, or medicine — were literally snatched from the jaws of death thanks to the compassion, humanity, and big heart of the First Lady of the United States. At the same time, this is not the first time Melania Trump has provided assistance in extremely challenging missions. Since October 2025, the First Lady has been supporting initiatives to return Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories and the Russian Federation. Thanks to her personal involvement, 30 children have been returned to Ukraine. Among them are very complex cases, including children from the Kherson Orphanage, as well as minors who had already been placed in Russian boarding schools. The return of these children was made possible by the persistent efforts, international support, and personal commitment of Melania Trump. Therefore, today’s presentation of the Order of Princess Olga, First Class — the highest class of this award — is a recognition of her personal contribution and an expression of sincere gratitude on behalf of all of Ukraine. I sincerely thank Melania Trump and her professional team for their trust, personal involvement, and assistance to the people of Ukraine. Human lives are at stake in every such initiative. We deeply appreciate this!
