Πριν από ακριβώς τέσσερα χρόνια, η ουκρανική υπηρεσία SBU προκάλεσε ρήγμα στη γέφυρα που συνδέει τη Ρωσία με την κατεχόμενη Κριμαία, τη γέφυρα του Κερτς ή αλλιώς γνωστή ως «γέφυρα του Πούτιν». Σχετικό υλικό από κάμερες ασφαλείας αποτυπώνει την έκρηξη που σημειώθηκε στις 8 Οκτωβρίου 2022 στη Γέφυρα του Κερτς.
Ο επικεφαλής της SBU, Βάσιλ Μαϊλούκ, επιβεβαίωσε εντός του 2023 πως η υπηρεσία του ήταν εκείνη που εκτέλεσε την επιχείρηση. Η επίθεση επέφερε φθορές σε μια κρίσιμη ρωσική οδό στρατιωτικού ανεφοδιασμού προς τα κατεχόμενα εδάφη της Κριμαίας.

❗️Today marks exactly four years since the first explosion on the Crimean Bridge in occupied Crimea. On October 8, 2022, the Defense Forces carried out one of the most high-profile operations of that period of the war: a powerful blast on a strategic facility that the Russians considered one of the most heavily protected. The explosion caused spans of the road section of the bridge to collapse, while a burning train of fuel tankers on the adjacent railway line added to the impact.
