Το Πολεμικό Ναυτικό των ΗΠΑ ανακοίνωσε την απώλεια ενός μαχητικού αεροσκάφους, τύπου F/A-18E Super Hornet, σε ένα ασυνήθιστο ατύχημα που σημειώθηκε στο αεροπλανοφόρο USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) το οποίο βρίσκεται στην Ερυθρά Θάλασσα.
Το ατύχημα σημειώθηκε κατά τη ρυμούλκηση του μαχητικού και είχε ως αποτέλεσμα το F/A-18E να καταλήξει στη θάλασσα μαζί με το όχημα που το ρυμουλκούσε.
Ένας ένστολος τραυματίστηκε ελαφρά, σύμφωνα με την ενημέρωση του αμερικανικού Πολεμικού Ναυτικού.
