Ο Ουκρανός πρόεδρος, Βολοντίμιρ Ζελένσκι, χαρακτήρισε την ενέργεια ως σημαντική κλιμάκωση εναντίον των ουκρανικών υποδομών εφοδιασμού.

The number of people injured in the Russian strike on a university campus and the surrounding area yesterday evening has risen to 12. Five of them are students and university staff. Almost everywhere, Russia’s targets were the energy sector, logistics, and ordinary urban infrastructure. The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems, which unfortunately have occurred recently, are directly helping Russia achieve the objectives of its terrorist campaign. Every such delay means another Russian strike on one facility or another. Unfortunately, strikes are taking place every day. Russia is constantly taking new steps toward escalation. Pressure on Russia and real support for Ukraine are needed to change the situation. I thank everyone who truly supports our efforts to protect lives and understands the importance of support packages arriving on time. We must bring peace closer and save lives. Ο κ. Ζελένσκι πρόσθεσε: «Σοβαρή κλιμάκωση στις ρωσικές επιχειρήσεις κατά των υποδομών εφοδιασμού μας. Υπήρξαν επίσης πλήγματα στις περιφέρειες του Κιέβου, της Βινίτσια, της Ζαπορίζια, του Νντίπρο, του Χαρκόβου, της Οδησσού, του Τσερνίχιβ, του Σούμι, του Ντονέτσκ, της Χερσώνας και του Τσερνίβτσι».
Από την πλευρά του ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών Αντρίι Σίμπιχα συμπλήρωσε πως η Ρωσία «πραγματοποίησε μια φρικτή επίθεση με βαλλιστικούς πυραύλους στο Κίεβο κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας». Οι στόχοι περιλάμβαναν ένα κοιτώνα πανεπιστημίου, μια ιατρική εγκατάσταση, κτίρια κατοικιών, το μετρό και ένα βενζινάδικο.
«Αυτό είναι καθαρή κρατική τρομοκρατία», σχολίασε ο Σύμπιχα.
Russia carried out a horrific ballistic missile strike on Kyiv overnight. Targets included a dormitory, a medical facility, residential buildings, the metro, a bridge and a gas station. This is pure state-sponsored terrorism. At least ten other regions of Ukraine also came under attack, with strikes mostly targeting energy infrastructure. People have been killed and injured across the country. Helping Russia break its international isolation while it refuses to stop its war is unacceptable. Putin is a murderer with blood on his hands. His place is in the dock in The Hague, not at international events.

Την ίδια στιγμή, στην πόλη Μπριάνσκ της δυτικής Ρωσίας, δύο άτομα έχασαν τη ζωή τους και έξι ακόμη τραυματίστηκαν από ουκρανική επίθεση με μη επανδρωμένα εναέρια οχήματα, σύμφωνα με όσα δήλωσε σε ανάρτηση στο Telegram ο τοπικός κυβερνήτης, Εγκόρ Κοβαλτσούκ.
